I bought this fridge to replace my 30 year old Maytag fridge and am happy to have a fridge that is a similar design. It cools very well and makes food easy to access. I like the 33" width, although would have preferred 28" depth instead of 30.5". The movable bins are great and make room for lots of tall containers in the door. I would have preferred a second bin with a cover on the top of the door instead of the flimsy egg tray. My old fridge had a solid shelf, cover and removable egg tray. I like the larger bottom bin for veggies, instead of 2 bins the same size. The clear bins make it easy to see the produce. The sliding drawers are not as solid as the old fridge that had little wheels on the tracks. The meat drawer is too big and has fallen out already. I preferred the half width meat drawer in my old fridge. I don't eat meat, so the extra large tray wastes space that could be used on the shelves. The temperature and light panel is too bulky and take up room that could be used for tall containers. The old Maytag had the temperature controls in the panel between the fridge and freezer. The freezer size is awesome, although the shelf brackets are pulling out and look like they will break in time. The freezer shelf could be higher to accommodate tall items on the bottom freezer door and could have different height options and brackets like the ones in the fridge. I was glad that I kept my old ice trays and bin - it would be nice if these were included with the fridge. I was disappointed in the quality of the finish inside the fridge - there are black marks and scratches inside the upper left side of the fridge and freezer and the glue is visible on the corners - not the same quality of construction as in my old Maytag or the new Whirlpool fridges. The bins could be heavier with a more reliable track.The pocket handles on the door are fine but I would prefer the curved metal handles that the Whirlpool fridge has - for appearance and function. The fridge doors and kitchen door had to be removed to bring the fridge into my house through a standard 30" door, so there is no need for a clean front. I also had to pay extra to have the door swing changed to a left hand hinge - it would be nice if this was an option when ordering. I hope that Maytag will continue to make a traditional freezer on top fridge. I still prefer the accessibility and function of this fridge over the French doors and freezer on the bottom fridges.

Freezer door seal didn’t make contact and caused lots of frost. The Maytag Repairman fixed it. Large lit freezer but fridge part is a bit smaller than expected
