Just got this yesterday - it looks good and the fridge interior is well designed. It will hold everything I need it to. However, the book that came with it explained a lot about the water dispenser and ice maker, neither of which I have. One piece of paper stated to engage the foot brake but no indication in the book about the location of the brake. Also, would like to remove one of the dividers in the freezer, but can't find any instructions for doing that. Have tried to figure it out but failed. So, quite satisfied overall, but the user instructions are a bit lacking.

I got this fridge just less than 4 months ago and from the beginning every time the compressor kicked in it did so with a continuous annoying buzzing sound and it was there up to 10 to 15 minutes before the compressor shuts down. I decided to go for this fridge because based on the reviews on many websites it was supposed to be a quiet one with a smooth sound but far from it!! I called Maytag few times and also got two of their technicians come and have a look, they came and just listened to it and said it is NORMAL!? They said it is my condo which has got an echoing effect and that is why I hear it louder! They said my ears are too sensitive!! And it is normal for a fridge even the brand new ones to keep going on every 15 minutes and stay on for 10 to 15 minutes! They all noticed that the compressor kicks in with a kind of rattling sound which then turns to a continuous buzz but ignored it! No one even bothered to open the back of the fridge to see if all is right with the compressor or the relay attached to it! I have had so many different fridges in my life and none was like this! imagine hearing an annoying buzzing sound every 15 minutes! Would it not drive you mad after a while?! I strongly believe that the compressor or the relay mechanism is faulty in this fridge and in the other words of all the oranges out there I got a lemon!! I wish Maytag was caring enough to replace this noisy fridge for me and set me free from this annoying buzzing noise! This was my first and last time buying anything from Maytag, should have spend my money on LG or Samsung, what a mistake!!!!!!!!!!
