Our door in our new washer broke. There was glass everywhere. The repairman said its rare and had only seen this once before. I thought wed need a new washer but he replaced the door and rubber surround and its good as new.

I bought this a few weeks ago and not happy with it at all. The features are limited if you want to do a short wash you can only use it on one setting. It also doesnt have enough water coming through the cycle.

I had the prior edition of this model LG washer purchased in 2009 and seeing the difference between what it looked like then and now was startling. It appears so cheap like plastic with fewer options and a feeling that it wont last 7-8 yrs compared to the 14 yrs the prior model lasted. And to add insult to injury less than 4 weeks ago I thought the $100 off I received was decent until when I received this survey request the website showed there was now a $250 discount which would probably make it closer to what it is now actually worth having seen its construction. I just hope the cheap sounding latch holds this direct drive tub is balanced and the now press panel controls which I have found fail regularly on other devices dont fail as soon as I suspect they will. The controls could be a lot easier to use IMO.

The LG washer has been working well for close to a year now. We like the options for using this washer. Draining the tub is not that convenient but works just fine. It is replacing an older LG which served us for over 12 years and we expect this one to last as long.
