The oven is poorly made and the oven door failed on the first use. Dealer said it is not covered under warranty

We installed this appliance in July 2019. Overall we were fairly satisfied, cook quality was good. Aesthetically it provided a pleasing addition to the kitchen. Unfortunately, we awakened to an issue where the display and microwave were no longer responsive. After calling GE and being told that it would take 3 to 4 weeks for a repair (nice to not be able to cook for 4 weeks on a $4000 appliance) we contacted another service company. The diagnoses was the halogen light feature had failed causing a short within the entire system. It appeared that either their was an assembly issue that caused the light to short out on the metal of the unit. I don't believe it should be the responsibility of the buyer vs. the OEM for poor quality in design. I would encourage those that are considering this solution to look at other options. I just recently purchased another GE product (prior to this issue) and do believe they are typically above and beyond other appliance companies. While I am very disappointed in the reliability of this solution I am writing to only provide a word of caution on this technology.

We have had a few issues, but it gets the job done. The microwave recently acted up but mysteriously started working again. We are not sure how long the appliance will last and feel it should be more than 24 months.
