The ice maker barely works. The wrapping it came in, is still stuck on parts of the refrigerator and I cannot get it off. I mean it refrigerates, which I guess is the point.

This 18 c.f. is smaller than a Frigidaire 18cf. I thought that the c.f. was an international standard. So disappointed in this product. In addition to the much smaller freezer space and internal capacity to my last fridge (18cf Frigidaire), there is no light in the freezer compartment. . What is with that? Am i supposed to use a flashlight if I want to get some ice at nights ? Is this a day fridge? This is a complete waste of my money.

Overall, I like this refrigerator. It serves all of my needs, keeps foods at optimal temperatures, and is very quiet. The problem is irregularities in the stainless steel finish. Home Depot sent out a technician to look at the issues, and both the freezer and refrigerator doors will be replaced. I am hopeful this will resolve the problem.

Purchasing this refrigerator has been nothing but agony. Immediately we noticed that it was humming, gurgling, and making all kinds of noise. Many times it sounds like a steam engine train pulling into the station slowly chugging along. We like to yell out “The train is arriving!” when it does this. Other times it sounds like a jet engine winding up for take off. It is in fact so noisy, that it will wake us up at night with its torturing onslaught of clanking and vibrating. We have called Whirlpool customer service multiple times and spent hours talking to them to get this figured out. We have had a service technician out two times and he can’t find anything wrong. We were told, if nothing is wrong, they cannot fix it. Really? So if nothing is wrong, then you make your refrigerators to sound like they were built in the 1950’s? Never again will we purchase a Whirlpool appliance. We cannot handle the borage of noise and frustration that comes along with it. The lack of customer support is truly disappointing too. Buyer beware!!!
