We replaced a feature-heavy, and unreliable, Samsung after a lightning strike. I wanted a machine with an ice-maker and nothing else. This Maytag has a good layout, adjustable and STURDY shelves (before our fried unit, we had an LG with really awful plastic-frame shelves, and the frames broke a lot). The door hinges and fitment are top notch. It makes a little more noise than its predecessor, but it's still more than quiet enough for us. Best of several top-freezers from several makers that I considered.

We purchased this refrigerator after having a very unpleasant 5 year experience with an LG refrigerator. We have had Maytag appliances in the past and have had excellent service with all of them. We learned that bells and whistles aren't what makes an appliance great. Thank you Maytag!!

i bought this refrigerator about a month ago and am very satisfied. I put it on recommended settings but it still seems to be keeping things a little too cold some things are freezing. I am working with the setting to get it to where I need it.
