I bought this refrigerator, including adding the ice-maker, to replace a much older model for a rental property. At 17.5 cu. ft. it fits perfectly in the space provided and it holds a lot, including in the doors. I also love that it has a deli drawer that you can easily slide from one position to another to more easily accommodate items. It also has two crisper drawers at the bottom. I got it in black with the textured finish which hide fingerprints. It also matches the other GE appliances purchased over the past few years for the same unit. The refrigerator was just installed last week, but so far no problems. It seems to be working as it should. I will update the review if any problems or issues arise.

I love my new refrigerator and it keeps my food cool and fresh. I don’t like the fact I see some ice along the door of the freezer part of my refrigerator. Not sure what is going on there.

In the store the refrigerator was clearly labeled 18 cu ft. The box is labeled 18 as well. Even the model is an 18. Yet when registering I see that it is 17.5 cu ft. That explains why it is so much smaller than my old 18.2 cu ft model. Very misleading when you are trying to put items in and you discover that they just don't fit the same. It also runs quite a bit more than my 20 yr old GE did. I'm waiting to see what the effect is on my electrical bill. Also was quite unhappy when I was charged to change the door opening side. Horrible but it was in my kitchen so what could I do.

So far I've really enjoyed it. I did hear the soft sound of water coming from it and it has no icemaker but one can be added, so the water faucet to the fridge was turned off.
