Water filters constantly malfunction and are very expensive. Cheaper filters cause even more trouble. The filter affects the ice maker, causing it to malfunction as well. Ice shoots out the slot and spills all over, splatters on the floor, slides underneath. Totally inferior product design. When you need it most, like the holidays, you can expect it to fail.
