We had the exact model for 20 years prior to this one. We needed to fit a specific space, so we were very glad to find the exact same model, keeping us from having to remodel the entire kitchen. While the new one is very similar to the old one, we did lose a few things...a shelf in the freezer, and a drawer in the refrigerator...to name two. But it is nice to have a working icemaker/water in the door again.

This GE counter depth fridge has been a disappointment from the time we received it. It make this LOUD noise . We understand the sounds of the ice maker and when it needs to regulate it’s temperatures. This is an unexplained LOUD NOISE that occurs four to five hours each day. It could start at 10 am 10 pm or 2 am it doesn’t matter because it is not consistent. GE technicians have come out three times but have not been able to repeat the LOUD NOISE. We made a fourth service call and GE refused to come out and referred us to customer relations to file a claim for a replacement unit Where we have been put on hold for hours . We were apparently rejected for a replacement unit so we have had to resubmit the claim. ZERO STAR!!!
