We have used our refrigerator for one month. We are happy with the cold water dispenser that doesn't take up needed door space, and the ice maker. Side by side doors are great with the freezer on the bottom. The interior is well designed.

This was the third refrigerator which I purchased. The first to were whirlpool and then swapped for Maytag. I was relying on the quality I had always heard about Maytag. I learned whirlpool and Maytag are made by the same company. All are loud and made banging noises. Sounds as though someone is breaking in my home in the middle of the night. Tired of ordering and swapping refrigerators and kept Maytag. Don’t expect it to last long term. Extremely disappointed. Runs loudly and for long periods of time. Only good thing I can say is it is the size I wanted. Will not buy another whirlpool or Maytag product.

Bad door seals

After 3 years one of the door seals split at the non-hinge vertical side down the entire length and the magnet strip fell out. Now I have to replace the seals. I am willing to assume that particular seal was simply faulty, because Maytag usually has such a good reputation.
