Craft Icemaker not working. Needs Software Update

Our craft icemaker quit. Called LG. They had me download LG app. App determined that our 2 5g internet providers could not communicate with it. Wrong frequency. I was asked to go into admin file and change frequency. Called Frontier. They said they do not do this. So our brand new refer cannot connect to internet to fix itself. Craft icemaker is now dead space in the freezer.

Although we have only had this refrigerator for a month we like the space the ice makers especially the craft ice and how quiet it is So far it appears to keep temperature relatively consistently but well see how that goes in the future. I was reluctant to make the purchase based on LGs compressor issues in the past so Im hoping that has been fixed. This appliance looks good in the kitchen and the drawers/compartments are well designed and roomy. The door-in-door feature is also useful. So far we are happy with the purchase.

I researched for over a year. While remodeling the entire kitchen I decided to accommodate a 36 wide refrigerator I came across this LG. It is granted very large at almost 30 cf but its the flexibility and features that sold me. Having through-the-door ice and water keeps the cold inside Same goes for the door-in-a-door for items that we access every morning. Then you have the full convert section that can even be a freezer With a basement 11 cf freezer I love not having to have so much dedicated freezer space upstairs. And then as if thats not enough you have beautiful craft ice spheres in the lower freezer for special occasions. As long as it performs for a long time count me satisfied. The features and quality certainly justify the price in my world
