Most refrigerators are great when new. This one is no exception. BUT! Well over 3 grand out the door, and then I find out that there is a water filter that needs to be changed every 6 months. GE has made sure that you buy their new style branded filter, which costs over $50. If you buy GE's older style filter, it won't work because the new ones are micro chipped and the old ones are not. The appliance 'knows' if you have the new chipped filter or the older almost identical filter without a chip. Old style filter is $12. Chipped filter is over $50. No more GE products for us. Dishwasher is near its end of life, but it will not be a GE product that replaces it.

Compressor noise seems a bit excessive for GE Profile line and overall price paid. Doors are slightly unaligned otherwise it is fine.
