Manufacturing Error Causes Cooling Failure

Within a couple months of owning this refrigerator/freezer I noticed that my milk would go bad way before the expiry date. I stuck a digital thermometer in the refrigerator and sure enough saw that if it was set to 37 it would get as high as 60s with regular use and take 12 hours to get back down into the 40s Completely unsafe for food. The freezer did work and makes decent ice and has good room. I called LG about the fridge and they sent a repair person promptly. After several visits the repair person who I thought did a great job noticed that the wrong part had been installed during installation which prevented venting between the freezer where the cooling takes place and the refrigerator. Thankfully he noticed the error and had a part and was able to get it working. Likely others have this same issue. The refrigerator also has very thick doors that require additional space on the sides to open so although the depth and width measurements are provided by LG it doesnt account for you actually opening the doors Currently the fridge is working and I did buy the extended warranty from where I bought it but I would be very surprised if it lasts that long. I dont like the design of having cold air pumped up from the freezer to cool the refrigerator.

The air filter cover is crooked on the inside. So it doesnt hold the plastic encased air filter designed for this model. It came with a soft packaged filter. I cannot find those anywhere. Its odd that the filter cover is has that defect. Also the ice maker doesnt seem to make a ton of ice.
