Modern washers are a significant change from our 30 year old Maytag, so they take a bit of time to get used to. Even with an agitator, they use much less water. The only downside is that where I used to put in the detergent and start filling the machine, the only way to do that now is manually with a small bucket. This increases the weight of the load when the machine is starting, and the upside is that it thinks there are more clothes and fills a bit higher. The clothes come out not only very clean, but also much drier after spinning than the old Maytag. Overall my wife and I are very happy with our GE commercial quality washer.
