Our dryer gave up after a mere 23 years and this one was recommended by the salesman. We were going to buy the brand that matches our washing machine not 23 years old but we somewhat reluctantly went with his suggestion and we are so happy about it We love this dryer. Comparing it with the other brand we noted that simple things like the lint basket were of notably higher quality and significantly more functional. This dryer gets our laundry fluffy and dry but I also love the app and the ability to set many different settings not available on the dryer proper. The ability to use the smart app to diagnose any potential problems is also a huge plus and I was impressed that when I sent a question via the app I not only got suggestions for FAQs but also an actual response to my specific question. Love everything about it and will definitely go with LG in the future.
