We purchased this new microwave after our other GE model of 9 years stopped working. This one has most of the same features which we love, except I have to be extra careful when opening or closing the door as it makes a lot of noise.

Our 7 year old GE over the range microwave that is several model numbers lower than this one quit recently & was not being made anymore so we selected this model instead. It was in stock & arrived at Home Depot in a week for us to pickup. This model has several more enhanced features that we didn't think we would use, but they are turning out to be convenient after all. We like that the dual fan vents are placed on both sides of the oven lining up with our stove burners, which is better than in the middle like our last one was. Installation was easy with templates provided & an instruction booklet. For the value, we are happy with it. The one negative we found was how loud the door closure & opening is, making it sound clunky.

Our previous GE Microwave oven lasted many years so we decided to stick with GE. That was a mistake. I took a day off from work so it could be delivered/installed. Soon as the installer left I put a cup of tea in and hit beverage. The beeps that followed sounded different than our old unit. I looked at the display and it said sensor failure. The sensor is a feature we don't need and didn't want but with supply chain issues the available units all had it. Our original GE Spacesaver microwave didn't have this feature and worked well for beverage, popcorn, etc. I'm afraid to try to put a bag of popcorn into this unit. It's doesn't seem as well made and there is a lack of quality control at the factory.

My new microwave is great. It replaced a very old one in my condo. I found it very easy to use and am so happy that I can now enjoy cooking in a microwave again. It also looks great in my kitchen. I picked a black microwave and it is very stylish and beautiful.
