We purchased this product as an addition for our remodeled home and kitchen. We loved the concept of having a device serving both as a convenient microwave and also offering the ability to serve as an oven for times when we needed extra cooking space such as Christmas and Thanksgiving. We probably microwave something daily from reheating food, cooking forzen vegetables, and making our 7 year old's beloveddd microwave popcorn. However, after about 6 months of use the microwave stopped working suddenly and has never come back to life. The clock works great! I love the features that it offers. I am just saddened that we purchased this product and it did not offer the longevity that we hoped for. Sadly we are no longer under warranty and will have to purchase another product which will probably will not be a Samsung convection/microwave product.

I purchased this microwave three - four years ago when I renovated my house I purchased it through Best buy and also purchase the stainless steel trim as I was using it as a built in microwave and approximately after two years after it stopped working . I purchased another one soon after and now it has the same fate too. I never had such bad experience like this with any appliances and that too both of them had the same fate .Now i am wondering what to do next ..

I had this microwave for slightly over a year. We also invested in the metal trim kit to give it the built-in look. Although I found the convection abilities ineffective for other than re-heating a pizza slice, the microwave worked fine to re-heat coffee or heat a TV dinner. Well, out of the blue, my husband looked at it a couple days ago and no power! It briefly comes back on and you can use it, then shuts off. Now it seems down for good. Samsung said when I phoned 2 days ago, "sorry out of warranty". The local Samsung authorized repair charges $260 +parts, and they said they almost never service out of warranty microwaves due to cost. Thanks for nothing, Samsung!

After going through so many push button door microwaves, I finally found one that had all the features I want and the drop down door. It costs a little more than your run of the mill unit, but totally worth it.
