as others have mentioned this microwave stopped working in hardly even a years worth of use. the microwave stopped heating and conveniently the warranty is only for 1 year and mine stopped working in 14 months. support refused to work with me besides wanting to send out a service tech at my cost which was half the microwave cost. spend your money elsewhere with a company that stands behind their products.

after 3 years of use, the convection oven function degraded, displaying the message c-d0 after the system warmed up after baking for a few minutes. was unable to arrange service & repair through samsung.

i have had this product for over 4 years now. i wouldn't recommend this to a relative/friend. i like that i was able to save counter space by getting rid of my electric countertop oven since this product has power convection but the unit requires much free cabinet space behind it and also the microwave takes long to heat up the food because it is underpowered additionally, after 3 years of use, the magnetron (basically the main part that heats up the food) gave out and i had to remove the trim kit and microwave from the cabinet space to replace the part recently, i noticed its door just falls down; before it would open slowly and close with ease. i am sure i have to replace the whole door assembly, which is going to cost me more than the magnetron i am staying away from samsung microwaves.

The design changed, but not the trim kit

we spent hours on the phone to samsung trying to convince them that the screw location on the side of the microwave has changed, and they flat out denied it. as can be seen in the picture, they used to be in the center of the side panel, but now they are located towards the front. samsung promotional images haven't been updated to reflect this, and neither has the trim kit, which requires you to attach the duct base to these screws. samsung support swore blind that the design hasn't changed and suggested we were making it up. perhaps this microwave would be adequate in a countertop setting, however it cannot currently be used with samsung's own matching trim kit.

i ordered this microwave as well as the trim kit. the first microwave i received had a dent in the top of it (with no visible damage to the box or damage to the turn table which sits on top for shipping). the second microwave i received has scratches on the top in the same location, again no damage to the turn table or box. the kicker, even if i want to live with the scratches, the trim kit that i purchased does not fit the microwave!! part numbers verified for both the microwave as well as the trim kit. an hour later and 5 different conversations i have yet to talk to someone that knows what is needed. tech support wants you to go sales, sales wants you to go to a different sales. going to just return everything at this point and go with someone else.
