Perimeter Ventilation
Can handle up to a 65,000 BTU total output by pulling air from the edges of the hood and speeding up the movement of the air at the center

I'm rating this hood fan a 5 because it was just the look that I wanted.... however, it was a real pain to install! My husband has built homes and is very handy around the house and this install took us all day. I wish I would have just hired it done while he was at work so we could have enjoyed a nice 70 degree Sunday in Michigan.
