I just got this cool top delivered and installed today after 7.5 months . I’m very excited to see what I cook first / soup ? scrambled eggs ? The only unsure feature is the griddle I called GE to find how to clean it and did what the rep told me . I used soap and water but the brown residue is not coming off and seems to be a coating . I’m hesitant to use that portion

I did DYI installation where an old electric cooktop was located. Very easy to install. Performance is excellent, good side. Lots of versatility with and without the griddle. Turn down is very broad. Very happy witH this purchase.
