I purchased this cooktop to replace a 2005 GE profile cooktop that lasted nearly 15 years until my cleaning service shorted out the wiring harness. What I love about GE, is that I could’ve easily just replaced the wiring harness and continue using my old cooktop. Parts are readily available. But what I love even better about GE, is that the new cooktop is a significant improvement over the old one and fit exactly in the same location. I was able to install it myself in less than 45 minutes. Even better, I could not find the cooktop anywhere at a local appliance store in till March, but GE was able to get one to me directly by the end of December. Amazing!
